About Le Senate
The Le Senate winery is situated on the coastal hillside overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Once in the ancient past, this territory was known as the Ager Palmensis. In the first century AD, Pliny the Elder praised the area for its vineyards and their wines. The quality was acknowledged all over the Roman Empire. Still today, the quality of the vines of Le Senate are superior. Their rows of vines are laid out on a plateau looking onto the Adriatic, caressed by its breezes. The silt and sand-based soil contains a layer of calcium carbonate concretions that create a uniquely favorable ripening environment for the grapes.

Her palate has found a home in Italy where she hopes to share some of the treasures she has discovered with you. When not speeding through the Italian countryside, Amy lives in Palm Springs, California, with her husband, Stephen & their Golden Retrievers, George and Charlie. Amy enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, and traveling.

Our wines are made with organic hand-harvested grapes, indigenous yeasts, the least amount of sulfites needed to stabilize the wine, and naturally occurring malolactic bacteria.
