“La Madonna” is the ancient name of the hilly terrains in Tuscany, wrapped in an enchanted landscape, where nature and art come together. Today, these hills host a young farm created and inspired by the profound respect for the traditions of the land and the entrepreneurial taste for trying something new.
Located in the famed wine region of Montalcino in the Val d’Orcia, Madonna Nera Winery began in 2006 when the Borgogni family purchased a farm and lands. Daughter, Bernadetta, had a dream to make an award-winning Brunello on these lands while respecting the ancient traditions of Italian winemaking. Her dreams were made into reality upon the partnership of world-renowned Oenologist, Carlo Ferrini. Together, Carlo and Bernadetta have won numerous awards for their Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino.
